Barrio Costero was built by four friends with a passion for creating remarkable experiences through community, collaboration, and sharing delicious food. Our name, Spanish for “coastal neighborhood,” embodies our approach to seasonal cooking and genuine hospitality in the vibrant seaside community of Asbury Park.

Mexican folklore has an expression for these rare and serendipitous connections: “once in a rabbit moon.” Our logo, rooted in Aztec tradition, represents our commitment to creating one-of-a-kind experiences that add up to more than the sum of their parts.

Bringing Coastal Mexican cuisine to asbury park

Barrio Costero translates from Spanish as “coastal neighborhood.”  It is the perfect name for this new contemporary restaurant that will feature eclectic coastal Mexican cuisine with an emphasis on local sources as well as a creative and diverse selection of cocktails and local brews.
